Thinking safely I was just wondering when using these reduced power loads how often are you guys cleaning out the bore? I've read in one article that it should be swabbed with an oiled patch after every 2-3 shots. That doesn't seem practical at all and shooting an oily bore goes against basic shooting logic. What are you guys doing to prevent stuck bullets in the bore? My cast bullets are already tumble lubed in liquid alox which should help prevent sticking. Anyone try liquid alox on jacketed bullets? I know moly is recommended but with the alox on hand I was wondering if I could use that.

Any kind of lube will do. Moly is easy. Liquid alox will do fine. I have heard of people dipping bullets into liquid animal fat. I have some commercial subsonic 308 that has a visible grease or fat strip around the bullet.
