I shoot a weatherby 300 win mag...have done some reloads in the past...
interested in your thoughts on bullet weight. For Bench use, does anyone have a good recipe?
I have loaded 180 Speer and Hornday and 155g Bergers and sierras. The HPBT match shot really well....looking your favourite bench load for accuracy.

Mag Pro is perhaps the biggest sleeper available for the 300 magnums. No trick at all to get 3150 fps with 180s in the 300 Win Mag with a 24" barrel, and that is cookin'. :)

The new ammo Hornady 300 mag were clocked by myself out of my Sako Bavarian 85 at an average of 3185 fps with very low standard deviation, this is also a .5 load, this is a devastating load i intend to stop reloading for 300 mag and use it from now on at 35.00 for 20 at Le Baron cant let this go silent... JP.

It seems to me that he might be shooting a weatherby rifle chambered in 300 win mag. If that is not the case, however then disregard the link I posted.

I just recently, and quickly, made up some rounds for my new 70 using 73 gr R-22 under a 185 gr Lapua HPBT SCENAR. No Idea what the velocity was but, for starters, I'm sub MOA with this combo.

If I were working up target loads for a 300WM, based on initial results, this is the combo I'd start with. Hope this helps,, have fun.
