Could it be that you have a 300WSM sizing die and not a 300WM die? This would explain the case not going into the die all the way and the decapping pin unable to remove the primer with normal adjustment. Check what it says on the die body, if you got these used someone may have sold you the wrong die.It's as far down as it will go. When the shell enters the die there is still about a half inch of the shell sticking out and then there is an extreme resistance
