I met a fellow a few months ago who is a member of one of the few remaining Toronto gun clubs. He told me they were having a reloading class/tutorial coming up in early September but I can't remember which club it was. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated as I need to start learning.

RCBS Loading Techniques

Most people did not go to a school, or even have a mentor to learn reloading. Both would be a big plus for sure, but you can learn without being in a classroom with a teacher there in person.

Assuming you have some of the equipment and materials, this video can be a big help - it's free and can be stopped and replayed on demand.

I know that's not exactly what you asked for, but Andy is right: there's plenty of visuals on the web. I really liked the ammosmith.com site as well as gavintoobe channel on youtube, they both helped me a lot.

I was kindly given an old reloading manual (Speer #11) by Gunnut Hicaliber years ago. From there I went on to the dizzying world of pouring my own cast boolits and reduced loads, and honestly its something you learn as you go- within clearly understood safety limits.
Everyone reloads for different reasons, I started to save money and ended up a much better shot because I stopped counting the rounds! Now I do it purely because I enjoy it, and I can simply crank out a few hundred of whatever I want in the basement without going to a gunshop.

is there anyone else at the club willing to help? i know anytime i or someone else needed guidance over the years, just a quick chat at the club and 10 guys would all be willing to help out.

Ask around the club and im sure you will find someone to help

I met a friend and he showed me how he does his reloading when I told him I was interested in it. It's dead easy.

The videos are good tutorials - watch them and also pick up the reloaders bible. I'm not a really experienced reloader, but I tell you it's alot of fun.

I'm a self taught hack, but always ready to learn a new trick. Andy Thanks for the link! Just subscribed to this thread to see wear it goes...

Thanks guys for the advice. I suppose I've heard so many reloading accident stories I'm a bit hesitant to become a reloading autodidact and am looking for a tutor of sorts to get it right the first time. Reloading courses should be offered at college!:p
