Reloading where to start?

Get the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit. RCBS has the best warranty in the business and their quality is top notch. Add a set of reloading dies, components and a set of digital calipers and you have the basics you need to reload. The kit includes the latest reloading manual from Speer. I'd pick at least 1-2 more as funds allow so you can compare min/max loads. Also, go to Amazon and buy a copy of the ABC's of Reloading. RCBS also has a decent how-to manual available on their website.

A single stage press is what I recommend newbies learn on first. As you're only loading for .308 Win, a progressive press is overkill anyway. I still use my Rock Chucker regularly, even after loading for more than 25yrs. It may sit next to a Dillon 550B, 650XL and a couple of turret presses, but I still wouldn't give it up.

+1 A single stage is a great way to start, you'll learn the steps at a controlled pace and learn to fix things that go wrong carefully at a speed you will be comfortable with..
