Reloading workbench

Top might be strong enough, but I'd question the stability of the whole bench for any serious sizing operations. Could probly be beefed up?

Just my opinion.

I just can't access the pics. Is it one of those metal workbenches with a perf board, shelf and two small drawers underside?
These can be reinforced by bolting a few steel flatbar diagonals on each side and rear and lagbolting the bench to the wall.
As for the laminated top, I'd replace it with a double lamination of 1/2" plywood.
Should do the job.

Yes, it is one of those Jobmate workbenches with the peg board back. I will look into getting some 1/2" plywood. Heck, for $50..seems better than using the kitchen table :p

I have a similar one and it has worked jus fine for a few years. All I did was cut and screw some spruce fence boards I had lying around to the edges underneath the board provided and secured the press there.

Nice starter bench, and kind of modular. When you want to expand, just pop another one right next to it, a couple of bolts and away you go!

I may grab one today!

If possible, on top of what PP suggested, I would bolt it out to the wall, for added stability. For the top, I'd go for 3/4" plywood, just in case (depends on the weight of the machine too). I've reinforced my table with 3/4" ply, and never had a problem.
