Reloads or new ammo?

What's better to buy? Reloads or new ammo?

My main problem with the reloads comes from the guy not too long ago who had a problem feeding the wolf reloads through his gun. I'm scared this ammo will do the same to my Beretta? I'm basically thinking between Wolf or Marstar ammo. Marstar ammo is about 30 or so dollars more, I'm wondering if the extra money is worth it?
 
Are you talking about steel-jacketed Wolf cartridges? I would never shoot those through a brand new Beretta or any other gun that you care about. 9 mm is relatively cheap and can be had for as low as $8.99 per box. If you're only saving a couple of bucks per box on reloads, it's not worth it.

LeBaron, wholesale sports...but if don't live in the area the shipping will kill the savings.

btw my local gun store sell 9mm winClean for $10.99 a box or 10 (500rounds) for $89 that's $8.90 a box, but I'm going to start reloading 9mm (I allready reload .44mag and have the 9mm dies) that way I can load a box for $6.5 and that's after taxes 8)

Try buying a few hundred rounds to try...

There are alot of reasons why guns don't fed properly and while ammo can be a common problem in some of the custom guns....ammo loaded to factory specs should work properly in out of the box guns...

Unless your buddy is shooting a pimped out custom built...he should probably be looking at his mags...

The problems with Wolf ammo were with a single Norinco 1911/230 grain FMJ ammo.
The gun is as much an issue than the ammo - so do not jump to conclusion.

Wolf has been in the business for a long time and make good stuff.
I reloaded the 9mm for a long time and properly made reload,work as well than the cheap 9 mm factory stuff. Do your math, you can reload 9 mm for $4 a box !!
 
thanks guys. So the Wolf bullets from Kingston are ok then? I'm just trying to save a lil money, and was wondering if reloads was worth savign the 30 or so dollars over non reloads

I bought from Wolf for awhile and never had a problem. However, I got to thinking.... if I am willing to buy reloads for a discounted price, why not reload myself for an even bigger discount (even if I have to put in my own time) ? I make my own ammo now, save some money, and really enjoy shooting my guns for which I have tailored ammunition :D
 
Yeah I pan on reloading later on, I just don't have the time right now... Besides, I do save my brass, so I will keep sending it back to Wolf and have him reload with my brass probably... thanks for all the help guys.
