reloads vs brass vs aluminum

Up until I purchased some 9mm from the commercial reloader you hotlinked weezl my CZ Shadow shot 3000 rounds of factory without an issue. Every box of reloaded ammo has had three or four fail to feeds, it also seems much dirtier than the factory stuff. I won't use any more in my semi-auto but I'll probably continue to use reload for my revolver.

I've used up all the reloaded 9mm that I bought now so I'll see over the next little while if it was the ammo or the gun. I'll post up what I find out here.

Cz's tend to have tighter chambers and shorter throats which is why most Reloaders for it have to use shorter over all length for proper feeding.

Out of curiosity when you got the reloads where they just generic reloads or did you ask for a specific load?

I have seen only a few .40 cal casings blow up but never a 9mm or any other cal. If you get one it is quite evident as to the bulge on the side of the casing just above the web. Phil.

I was just reading about the GAU-8 in the warthog, and how aluminum cases increased the # of rounds carried

how does that work? the size should be virtually identical in all measurements, maybe a little lighter, so they can carry more for the weight?

or do you mean they just do, because of reliability or other reason?
