I have a few too. I'll try it in the 300 RUM, 6.5mm-300 Win Mag, and my 8mm ARP.
I hope it's real slow and real dense, although I doubt it's more dense, or slower than US869 - although that can be made up if it's cleaner and more accurate. Word has it that Alliant will bring out another powder using that same technology (such as with Re17) with a burn rate near H1000.
Alliant is a real mover these days - let's hope it's contagious and Hodgdon and others do the same.

Why would anybody desire jet another gun powder? The variety we have is mind boggling every time one has to choose between hundreds of choices. I don't have problem with variety only with availability.
You are either being sarcastic, or I'm guessing that you own no more than three guns (who needs more?), and use only factory ammo (308, 22 RF and 12 ga).
If not, I'll let someone else handle this one.

I am not sarcastic, own half dozen guns and I do reload. Problem is, out of two dozen kinds of powder I own ( I use only half of them ) , for every cartridge I load for, there is allready lots and lots of good choices. Combine that with untold variety ( only in loading manuals ) of primers, bullets and brass and it gets confusing. I try to put together some promising combination only to find out that the components are not aviable and I must settle for the second best. I am trying not to be a packrat, but the situation forces me to buy not what I want but whatever is aviable, or go without and this is getting expensive with all that experimentation. So what another dozens of new theoretical components gives me? hmmmm...7mm STW ?
The first two sentences are telling. A half dozen is not very many, and of the calibers you have, I'm guessing none of them are particularly overbore. For those of us who play with more esoteric calibers (and/or more calibers), another powder in this burning rate is good news. Different strokes for different folks. - dan
It's called evolution, as science gets better we get better and more specific products. Same reason we don't drive model T's anymore.
Better product's = better for us.
They had that stuff on the shelf at the local shop in Indiana last year. It isn't that new, just slow getting up here...
I believe it's like N570 in the sense that it's kernels are HUGE, which limits it to applications with very big cases. Smaller calibers that are overbored can't necessarily take advantage of it because the kernel size limits how much of it you can stuff into a case.
