Reloder Alliant RL-19 Powder... Where????

Does anyone know where I can get Reloder RL-19 powder by Alliant???... Like a fool, drove all the way to Wiinipeg today thinking Cabelas and or WSS would have a bottle.... NOPE.....

Hate those big box stores, they are full of disappointments.... Any smaller stores who might be supporters, have some?....

I live in Lockport, near Winnipeg..... thanks..
 
Alliant hasn't shipped powder to anyone this year unless it has come in in the last week or so. It was supposed to come in at the end of May but that didn't happen
 
The official word from Alliant for more than 12 months now has been "we're working on it".
No details, no estimates.

Some have heard explanations from various "experts" who work gun counters in big box stores and they run the gambit from "Alliant can't ship to Canada because of a presidential order" to "all their factories burned down but Obama is covering it up". I take very little stock in any of these stories.
Alliant did have a minor fire in one of the Australian plants that make some of their shotgun powders but that was many months ago and in no way shut them down completely.
On another forum I read a post from someone who claimed to work for ATK (owner of Alliant Powder) who said Alliant lost a military contract and could no longer use a military ammo plant they previously used for some of their civilian rifle powder. Other than that one post I've never heard any more about it so it might just be another story.

Some retailers have received odds and ends of Alliant orders but it seems to be a couple pounds here, a few pounds there. I have no idea if these are inventory found in warehouses already in Canada or if random bits and pieces of orders are coming in.

All I know is I have been rationing my Unique and Bluedot because I haven't been able to find any for over a year. Picked up some Hodgdon Longshot to try to replace Bluedot but it doesn't work as well in anything I try it in (both cast bullet reduced rifle loads and magnum shotshell loads). Trail Boss and H4198 are filling in for Unique for the time being. Hodgdon discontinuing SR-4759 (a great cast bullet rifle and magnum handgun powder) has only made it harder for me to load up my cast bullets the way I like.
 
The word directly from Alliant is: Due to demand there is a shortage, we are doing our best to supply our customers with their favorite powder.
