Rem 11-87 14" barreled Police model?

I was on Remingtons web site when I came across a 11-87 Police model #9847 shotgun with a 14" barrel and a 5 shot capacity.

Does anyone know if these guns are available in Canada, and if so are they restricted or non-restricted due to the 14" barrel length?

It is 34 1/2" OAL.

This would be an awesome shotgun to have it it was available.:D
 
It would be Restricted, Since a barrel length is less then 18.5" becuase its a semi auto centerfire. I dont think they are available up here. PM (PM) off here I believe he had one dunno how he got it up here.

+1, they are legal to own, just next to impossible to get out of the US unless you are a public agency:(

I believe the few up here were surplus to requirement, and never delivered to the agency they had been ordered for.
 
They are restricted. I believe Remington used to sell these to Canadian gun stores/distributors. Sometime a few years ago they stopped along with the 14" 870. This may have been due to post 9/11 legislation restricting many types of firearms from leaving the US unless they end up in an approved military or police force hands.
 
I called CFC today and these shotguns are most definately restricted.

A Remington Law Enforcement model 14" barreled 870 Tactical is totally legal though. It is available in a bead sight #4429 or #4431 rifled sights.

Now to find out if they are available here in Canada or can you just order the barrel?:rolleyes: :D :cool:
 
Remington no longer sells these to Canadian gun stores for private sale. They do sell them to Police deparments though. Just like the 14" 870 you will have to find one that is already in the country. There will be no more new ones coming from the US.
