Rem 1100 & 870 buttstocks

Not generally, because the 1100 has a spring tube that protrudes out of the back of the receiver. That's why you can't get a folding stock for an 1100. Mesa Tactical or Knoxx stocks for the 870 will not fit. There are some pretty nice Speedfeed stocks that will fit both, though.

If you want a semi-auto shotgun with a Knoxx stock, the only option that I'm aware of is a Fabarm. You can get an adaptor for Fabarms so Knoxx stocks will fit, maybe even 870 buttstocks too.

It's my father's Rem 1100. And he doesn't want me to sell it, so just looking at what I can change on it to suit me better(he doesn't use it anymore). Probably just go with a ramline/ati stock with the sling stud already in it, so i can easily add a sling. Kind of up in the air about a full stock pistol grip. Don't know if it would be better or not. Knoxx would have just been a bonus, that'll have to wait till I get an 870 :D

I bought a Remington synthetic stock set for my 1100 (the wood was getting cracked) and I love it.

Personally, I would stay away from the Ramline stuff - it's junk. Spend the extra $20 and get the Remington.

A pistol gripped stock on a 30" 1100 looks pretty ghey, in my opinion. Also, since I'm a lefty, it's almost impossible to disengage the safety with a pistol grip stock!

That's true about the pistol grip. I forgot that I can buy a synthetic stock from Remington themselves. That's the clear winner now.
