Can a Remember 1100 handle use as a tactical shotgun with Rem short barrel with rifle sights?
I know they are good skeet shotguns but how are they with a diet of buckshot loads? Will they stand up ?

Yes. They stand up just fine.

11-87/1100 Stand up fine to heavy goose and duck loads. Buck shot would be no issue at all.

They used to be easy to find in Canada, bit noy so much anymore. You would probably have a dealer order one in for you. Gravel Agency in Canada does all the warranty work Remington. They also sell parts, I think.

Another option is to cut an old vented barrel, and mount front and rear sights on the ribs. I don't know where to buy the sigjts, but they do make them specifically for ribbed shotguns.
