Question for all you 141 owners. Is there a way to get the ammo out of the magazine rather then putting up through the chamber. Thanks Dabbler

Just a heads up.
I once pumped the 35 Remington ammunition out of the magazine. Didn't count them, but they quit coming out. Gave three extra pumps, then as is usual when in a place where shooting is OK, pointed the rifle in a safe direction and pulled the trigger.
BOOM.
Shortly after that I read in a US publication that caution should be used with the 35 calibre in that rifle, because sometimes the last cartridge hangs up in the magazine!

Thanks H, I'll have to double check mine from now on since it's in .35.
It still has the original price ($158) in pencil on the grip where the shopkeeper marked it.
Grandad probably bought it at the local hardware store back in the '50s.

Nope, you have to cycle the action.

You do have to cycle the action to unload, but you don't have to chamber the rounds...Just as the action picks up the cartrige, you just close about half way, then cycle back so the action is never in battery...
