I have a line on a used rem 700P .223. It comes with a Pelican hardcase with tow strap and dolly wheels on the pelican case.
The Rem Police Rifle has the stock replaced with a Choate "Ultimate Sniper" model. Sporting a Bushnell 4200 6-24 Mil-Dot Scope with Weaver type base and rings.Harris "S" Type Benchrest Bipod. There is a stainless steel one piece cleaning rod in the case.
$1450.00 delivered.
Bare rifle without scope or case or extras-$800.00

What do you guys think?

I don't think I would take the rifle. I don't like the scope and the stock (two of the most important things). It is a "good" deal but I think I would just end up changing those and that is a fair chunk of money.

I do not care much for the stock, and the scope is a average. Considering that you can get a new 700P in .223 with an HS precision stock ( I have the same rifle) for $949 +$30 shipping at Elwood Epps, I do not think that this is a very good deal on a used rifle.

It is personal to some extent but I do not think that the Choate stock is in the same league as the HS precision one IMHO
