My 350 Rem Mag is a Remington Model 673. The short short-action is limited to short bullets like the 200 grain Barnes TSX I use. A MAX powder charge of 49.5 grains of IMR4198 shows book velocity at 2710 fps, and I can get 1.2 inch groups at 100 yards with that load. Recoil is tolerable at that load, but after pushing it with small increases of .5 and 1.0 grains over Max - recoil and muzzle jump become violent enough that scope eye (twice) just about drew blood. TAC shows an fps increase of 2943 over 2710 but so far I have stayed with IMR. Any luck at Black bear hunting this weekend should show what the 200 grain Barnes in the 350 Rem Mag is capable of doing.
