For a "bringing newbies/antis along to the range" gun, I bought a Remington 41-P Targetmaster, the old type of .22 bolt single shot where you pull back the knurled knob to ####, similar to the Henry 60 or Henry Mini, some Anschutzes etc. Unfortunately, the guy I bought it from was one of very few problem CGNers. I later found out others had trouble with this guy but this was before the negative feedback system was instituted. Long story short, this single shot doesn't shoot a single thing. The bolt/action seem OK, but the knurled knob on the back of the bolt is a bit eroded, and it looks like the chamber's been very slightly eaten away at (by rust or god knows what).
Numrich doesn't provide many parts for the model 41, and neither does anyone else. They don't have bolts or barrels, though they do have mainsprings and cocking heads. Any bright ideas before I use this as a canoe paddle or firewood?
Thanks in advance.
