I have a Remington 597 VTR put about 100 to 200 rounds through it, use high velocity ammo, I find yellow jackets work best. I'm actually looking to sell it it's a little late posting on this thread but let me know I just live up in the Kitchener area. I have a couple 30 round banana clips to go with it. Just have more than one .22 of other makes in my cabinet. I'm willing to let it go for $250.00 Let me know if your interested if you havn't bought one already. brett_lerch@yahoo.ca

The SR-22 is the most solid of the "black" .22's. The M&P 15/22 is the best looking, but what good is a .22 you have to take to the range? With factory 10 shot mags, my SR-22 has been basically flawless with everything but sub-sonic rounds.

Thats a good deal, take the savings and pimp it to the max. I love my VTR, its my cousins favourite gun of mine, and very reliable and accurate once you take the necessary steps.
