rem 600/700 barrel swap

are the threads the same on 600's and 700's? Could I put a modern rem factory barrel on my mowhawk?

Yep!Threads are same. You will need to verify for correct headspace, and if out of specs, have it corrected by a gunsmith. Eagleye.

The barrel will screw on. You will need to check bolt nose to barrel face clearance, headspace, and sight orientation, if there are sights on the barrel. It is easy enough to do this swap, but adjustment could be necessary.

A 700 barrel will be 180 degrees out of rotation on a 600, an issue if it has iron sights or you want the barrel stamping in the right place.

How did you determine that? I have never seen any 600 or 700 barrel when swapped to another 600 or 700 receiever ever line up as far as printing and sights... ??
