Rem 700 .308 action options?

They retain a higher resale value over a trued 700 but down range accuracy wise - it's a coin toss.
I got a new action for $550, would you mind giving me your opinion on what work I should get done to it. I'm not looking for a competition gun but want to make it as accurate as it could be without spending to much. I've gotten a couple of good recommendation . Like Chou and HS precision but all I see are $$$$$. I'm also in discussion with a smith in BC, he asked if I want the action cerecoted , what benefit is there to this?

If you google Sorensen Gunsmithing or Sorensen Precision Machining you will get a webpage with all my contact info and some of the things I do. Cerecote adds nothing to accuracy, I think it is a rust inhibiting finish.

Thanks , I'll look that up... I didn't figure cerecote would do anything for accuracy but I thought maybe it made the action smoother.

I've decided to get a stiller tac 30. After discussing the cost of the rem 700 action and the work that needs to be done to it, with a smith, I can get a stiller for a few hundred more. I wasn't feeling to good about the rem action anyway.
