Rem 700 BDL

$500?

Dang. Its still a nice 80s 700 in a nice wood stock. Would start at $750 at least.
Doesn't matter how nice the wood is its still a blind mag which detracts from price. As does the vanilla 30-06 chambering. Everyone already has one or doesnt want one.
Its either a back up camp gun or being stripped for the action. Only a newbie wants that gun at more than $600. List it on the ee and find out.

Like I said before, do you need the money now cause you're jonesing, or is it worth waiting for?

New, synthetic stocked, blind mag 30-06s Rem 700s are selling for several hundred more than you're starting with on that one.

Like i said most guys dont need or want a blind mag 700 in 30-06. As for those new ugly synthetic 700 your talking about, they arent worth the asking price either. Which is why they are so plentiful and gathering dust on the store shelf. Been on this site a long time and adls dont move at a high price.

So you can prove thats somehow different than any other gun that any store currently has in stock?

Some places did sell out, btw. SFRC for example. Others have one in stock. I'd like to see how you demonstrate how that is "plehtiful and gathering dust"

Lots of places have Win 70s in stock in many chamberings too...I know, who wants those right? Gathering dust on the shelves. Or (insert gun of your choice in stock and insinuate its because no one wants it)

Nah most new guns are just over priced and most know it. Like i said put it on the ee for 750. And play leap frog with the 700 cdl in 30-06 with dm for $850.

OK so now every gun is currently only in stock because its overpriced and no one wants it?

He really should do that though, and if someone takes it for $650 (ever see a Rem 700 action sell for $650? I have) thenn he gets $150 more than your entry price

Sounds good to me. I mean we'll see how many people say "No! $650 is out of line for that rifle" but I doubt it will be a lot.

Nah I'm having fun watching you refuse to engage on the truth claims you made, and now deflect with "you mad, bro"

Its low tier, but it IS funny. I was really curious how you'd try to get out of the "so every rifle in stock means no one wants that in the market" and figured the answe was "not try to, make it personal" :)

Honestly, if I was looking to build a 700, I'd PM an offer of $650. See if anyone wanted to upgrade their ADL from plastic to wood for $75 and make it a $575 investment for an 80's made Rem 700 action with a Walker trigger.

But I'm not, and I really don't want or need another hunting rifle right now, so why should I make any offers? The Ruger Americans that are lambasted as being so cheap and garbage sell for more than you think his rifle should, and its doing the job for me haha

I was looking forward to hearing your excuse for not buying it. I was hoping it wouldnt be i dont want or need another 700 in 30-06. But if i really want it i could make it an "investment". Guess i was expecting something more original🤷I suggest rereading my earlier posts. Definitely and interesting way of interpreting what one says.
Oh an yes lets start a thread on how amazing the ruger american is lol

Sorry but none of what you're bringing to this convo makes any sense man.

Why should I buy that or any other rifle? What makes you think I would?

You've also never addressed how the 700 is any different from any other rifle currently in stock in any store.

And sure, go ahead and start a Ruger American thread. For a simple "is this rifle worth this much or not" discussion you seem to be awful keen on making it some kind of personal thing, why is that? Genuinely curious. Is it just some kind of defensive posture you adopt?

Ugh this conversation sure has digressed to the point where sarcasm isnt understood.
Back to the original topic of this thread. Let me clear it up for you....again
I said a 700 adl in 30-06 is fairly priced in the $5-600 range cause the cartridge and stock justify the price due to it being boring (30-06) and impractical (blind mag). Nothing remotely special or appealing about this gun. Its the base model from the 80's
Just cause a new synthetic 700 is more doesnt inflate the price of this particular rifle. Despite what you think.
The OP can list for what he wants and i hope he gets it. If you think new adls and americans are great quality rifles have at em. Ill stick to 700 mtn's and crf 70's in interesting calibers.

Right, which is why I pointed out that new Remington 700s, with synthetic stocks, blind mags, worse finish, less desirable triggers sell for MORE than $500-$600.

Thats fact. Whether or not it changes what you think the value of his is, cool. Pointing out that what people think is worse sells for more is all.

Dunno how that has anything to do with me, whether I should buy a rifle, what kind of rifle I have, or anything like that.

Don't sell for Savage Axis $$, #### these guys lol.
I have yet to see a ####ty 700 that was #### finished and couldn't shoot.
Clowns buy $1400 Bergara Spanish cast dog####, a half ass 700 clone, they think it's an improvement over the design with a flimsy Savage style extractor built into the bolt lug, that little mod right there ####s the whole sealed breach safe as #### Rem 700 design, renders the design useless lol.
Old Winchester push feed blind mags sell for $500, and that's fair, they ain't that great.
700 is well above those.
