I have a bone stock Remington 700 milspec 5 r in 308. I’d like to put a magazine adaptor on it and I was wondering what everybody would recommend thank you in advance.

If you are modding the HS stock, the magpul short action might work, an atlas worx, ptg or badger ord. likely requires inletting. Go for aics mags. binder plate probably, assuming you just shoot factory. I have some non-binders and they jam on ammo tips sometimes.

If no modding the stock, maybe drop into one of the many aics ready stocks like mdt or krg or what have you offerings.

2 cents.

The only bottom metal that I know of that doesn't require inletting and lets you run AICS mags (the ones with binder plates otherwise they will get hung up on the feed ramp) is the old Stiller DBM, not sure if they still make/sell it. All the other options will require a certain amount of inletting. I'd go for something in a Badger M5 style (the MDT ones are really nice) and have a good smith (Insite Arms would be my suggestion) inlet your stock and then pillar and bed the action into the stock. Have them notch the feed ramp at the same time and then you can run mags with no binder plate and run ammo loaded long.
