Rem 700 bottom metal

I've got the PTG one. It's the same profile as the Badger M5 as others pointed out. I bought mine with a mag and was still cheaper than a Badger.

Does Gary have a website? Googled bighorn but didn't come up with much on my end.

Called and ordered bottom metal and mags for both LA and SA from Gary. Great guy to deal with. PTG for SA and AI for the long action. Now I just hurry up and wait!!

As an update...my atlasworx unit finally arrived. Not sure if it was Canada Post or Customs that hung things up. Colin (atlasworx) shipped it right away, Australia Post got it across the Pacific Ocean in a hurry....then it was MIA for a month and a bit....

This is my second atlasworx bottom metal and I like them. He offers one with the typical long release lever and one with a lever that is flush with the trigger bow (aside from sticking out laterally on both sides). I have one of each and with the long release lever units he ships an extra lever that is a little longer on the mag side to get mags to ride a little higher if need be...also includes a spare pivot pin and spring....which is all a nice touch I figure... $200ish bucks to your door...

That's a great price. I just got mine in for the LA. Just waiting on BM for the LTR. Accurate mag metal and mag. Easy install.

Stiller just in. Took a lot more inletting than the PTG. Very doable though. Ended up using a die grinder and then hand file.

I've never installed bottom metal that needed in letting but i am good with hand tools. What's the best way to do this? Trade the putter oarts of the wider bottom metal onto the stock and remove material up till the traced edge? Cbob that looks really sharp with that new bottom metal and mag!

I just placed it and saw where material needed to come out then just did a bit of material at a time. Die grinder then file. And repeat until it fit. Then it didn't line up perfect front to back so I had to remove material at the front of the well to slide it forward a bit. It's not perfect but it's not bad. I tend to be not the most patient at times. I also did the DIY stiller bolt knob install with angle grinder first then die grinder and sander. That was more tedious and again with more patience and steady hand think it could be done without having to touch up the bolt paint.

Lol my iPad is messed. I meant tracing the outter edge of bottom metal on the stock with a pencil. I think it's possible to do a good job without CNC machine. Just go slooooow lol
