Rem 700 cdl extraction issues

It is a possibility... the extractor may have cracked on installation and now failed or it may have not been 'set' correctly. I suggest having a knowledgeable person having a quick look at it and determining what's what. Being a new gun it is under warranty so don't screw it over...
 
It's new but it belongs to my son and he just put it in the gun safe 2 years ago after it would not feed properly.what is warranty timeframe.It might be off warranty ?
