I was looking at the Remington web site at their Custom shop at the Custom "C" Grade rifle. They show a MSRP of $1,820.00. Does anyone have any real experience with these rifles other than the Remington website? How can they justify an extra $1000.00 over the CDL? Is it worth it?

Best regards,

they probably have the best and smoothest actions of the regular model 700s, with hand selected barrels, and the trigger probably isnt 9 lbs like a regular m700 :) maybe the stock gets hand picked too

I bet thats it

Id rather buy a CDL and customize it to my likings

Got one in .375 h&h , a sweet rifle, shoots great, super slick action, lapped bore, high end wood with nice checkering.

I've owned this rifle too, and can confirm that it is very nice. However, I would not pay almost 3x the price of a CDL for it. If you want to spend that kind of money, I'd suggest following Todbartell's advice or buying a Sako Deluxe in stead.
