So I wanted to change my firing pin spring on my Rem 700 308. I don't have a firing pin spring compresser tool.
So I got thinking.
This maybe a old trick but new to me.
First take the assembly apart.

Tools required are a 1/2 nut and fender washer, and a 1/4 fender washer or 3/16 if you got it. Just needs to fit over the pin.
And a reloading press that will fit large size dies.

Assemble it loosely

Into the press and hand snug up the nut.

Push down on the handle and there is the pin.

Might be a bit hillbilly but works for me.
