REM. 700 issue

hey everyone,, i recently bought a Remington 700, in 270 win. i brought it to the range this past weekend to sight it in, and i encountered a problem. the removable magazine doesn't hold the first bullet. when i load it up with the second bullet it will hold the rest of them, but when i cycle through,, the last bullet will always jam on me. i am assuming b/c the mag doesn't hold the first loaded bullet ( the last to be shot). i was wondering if anyone else encountered this same issue? or if there is a remedy? thanks
 
i have 2 rem 700 and 3 detachable mags all 30 06 all do the same thing the last round pops up out of the mag before i can chamber it. i chamber the last round slow and let it rattle back level before pushing it in or it will jamb every time
 
Never an issue with .06... When you load your rounds do you find the first one sliding around?... Check with a light when you load the mag up.... If so bug rem for a new mag... They are very accomodating...

It not a snug fit at all, it will actually pop out of the mag most times. I had to load two rounds together so they would stay in the mag.
