I like the walnut/blued mountain rifles.
Have one in .270, but would be interested in a twin in .243.
So far, I am unable to see if these were ever produced in .243.
Anyone have one, or know if a .243 was ever produced in walnut/blued format?
Thanks,
Pete G

Thank you for that input Bill.
If you, or anyone else knows where I could find a detachable magazine model 700 Mountain Rifle in .243 please send me a PM.

Bill.
I think you are right about converting a BDL fixed flootplate to a DM.Seems that I saw a "kit" to do that somewhere.
Has anyone here had that done?
Anyone have an idea or experience with respect to cost,,,both for hardware and gunsmith services?

Yesi have had several done the only good replacement is hs presision the remington bm and non are not interchangable the action is not internably the same hs r expensive around 375 plus smithing but well worth it you could get a detace mag 243 in walnut that would be very close

I had a Rem 700 Mountain rifle in .243 DM Blue/Walnut
I sold it two years ago and really regret selling it. It's the only one i have ever seen although i know they (Remington) did produce them. Keep your eyes open you never know what goes up on here. LOL! I sold mine on here! What was i thinking......SAKO!
