Rem 700 SPS DM

Do you know if the barrel on the rem 700 SPS DM is free floating?

I just put a harris bipod on it and it seems to affect the barrel as it used to shoot 1.5" groups at 100 and now it can barely shoot 4".

How do I take it apart? Do I just dremel out the places where the barrel comes in contact with the stock?

Any other advice?

It's probably the crappy plastic stock that's bending. I had a look at the sps and don't like any of the synthetic stocks on the Remingtons. I bought a VLS with the laminate stock and love it, but of course it's not "tactical"

Seem to be a couple different approaches:
1. Fill stock with foam.
2. Epoxied in carbon fibre arrow shafts.
3. Rough up stock with dremel and bed with with devcon/marinetex.

Seems to be mixed opinions on whether or not good idea to remove pressure point. May want to bed, leave it in, see how it shoots, if good leave it. If bad, remove.
