Rem 700 sps varmint in a mdt lss chassis

I have an LSS chassis on my Rem short action in 17 Fireball. The cartridge is to short to use the mags but if it was used on a 223 or larger it would work perfectly.
Just need a cheek riser and it's done.

How long is the barrel on your 17 FB? The one that came on mine was a ridiculous 26". Makes me wonder who thought that was a good idea? I just chopped it back to 20" which makes it a lot more handily and less like a fricken broomstick.

Very nice. It's gotta be at least 24", might be 26" never measured it. Was thinking of cutting it back but don't want to spend money on it since it is going to be a 300 Blackout one day and it shoots so darn good right now I don't want to mess with it.

My SPS Varmint .223 had a 26" barrel. Shot incredibly well, even with the crap stock on it (100m cloverleafs with factory ammo).

The Urban Strike is about half the cost of the big CADEX chassis and considerably cheaper than the AI AX I was gonna get.

Bbls are ordered. Now if Obummer would stop saying stupid stuff and getting US gun owners riled up we might actually get a barrel in a reasonable time.
I've had mine since last year and haven't shot a single gopher with it yet.
THAT is gonna change soon as global warming kicks in and the weather improves. You have to love a 20gr ballistic tip doing 4000+ fps though. Off a crappy wood bench setup mine has been printing ~.440" 5 shot groups, which is more than good enough considering a gopher is 2" wide. I think head shots are going to be like instant decapitation. :O

I'm using Nosler 20gr tipped ballistic tips over 15.5gr of IMR4198 and it just piles them up on top of each other at 100yds. I love the 300yd zero being a 50yd zero and it only being a couple inches low at 400yds.
Maybe you need me there for spotting the gophers
