Rem 700 titainium in 308. Need some loads

i just bought one, this is the first 308 i have had and the only gun that is not a magnum, it was going to be a 220 swift, but before i throw the barrel out, i thought i might give it a chance . so im looking for some good hunting loads ,

the gun weighs in at 5-1/4 pounds with a 22inch barrel, and in order to make me want to carry it , it must push 140 -160 grain bullets . looking at the tsx 150 ideally for me .

anyone care to share there loads and velocity, field proven only please, i don't care what the book says cause it lies . :cheers:

p.s. i will post a picture if there is a demand. makes it more fun
 
44gr IMR 4895 with 165gr bullets @ 2750 is my standard .308 load in my 20" barrels...Haven't tried the 150tsx yet, but will be loading some 168's shortly.
 
I can't quote the load completely from memory but the tiniest group mine ever made was with 150 gr. Nosler Partitions with 44.2 gr. (I think) of Varget. I know how much that doesn't help but hey, I'd give her a go. Seeing one ragged hole was very, very nice.

22/250AI would be a good conversion as well. I just had done a faux TI in 223AI. Perfect little carry for vermin or deer.

Too bad Remington wouldn't offer those TI actions on the market for custom work.
