Soo...new target banger in the works, I have Timney in almost all my 700's and have no complaints, they work as advertised and easily adjusted.
Now I read good things Triggertech which are Canadian made which could be good (or bad....NEA cough cough). But I haven't been on one to try them yet.
Both about the same price, not sure if I should take a chance on the Triggertech, or go with old reliable Timney.

Buy the Triggertech. I have several on my rifles now, and am very impressed. Easy to adjust, and very easy to install.
Break like a glass rod. [Not quite a Jewell, though....but priced better, lol] D.

I've a couple, one came in a gun swap; and the very next trigger bought was another one. I've never been that impressed by Timneys.

Its a hard thing to describe; but the Triggertechs have a solid feel in the pull and even just working the safety that lets you know that you've really got something.

Bought all my Triggertech's from Canada Ammo, 3 AR15 models and 1 Rem 700 model, all top notch high quality, think more Cadex vs NEA with reference to made in Canada.

I bought mine direct from the maker. Excellent trigger. I wish they made one for Mausers.

I was checking it out there... they sell in USD at $140 and our dollar is garbage at $1.37.
CanAm has them for $160CAD but out of stock. Seen them as high as $220CAD at some CGN sponsors which makes me want to avoid that particular one in the future...

Triggertech now has two tiers of Remington 700 triggers, Special and Primary. All the triggers sold up to now have been similar to the Primary, with the Special being newer, supposedly better and of course more expensive. You'd be happy with either one I'm sure.

Anybody have a line on Triggertech for Model 700s? I've visited/called/emailed/surfed all the supposed dealers I can find from TT's website and or posts on here. Answers range from never heard of it to out of stock don't know when we'll be getting more.
Must be a Canadian success story?

Why fix something that isnt broke?

By broke I mean your confidence and comfort and experience with the Timney Triggers.

Unless of course your willing to take the chance you like the Tiggertech and willing to change the other guns out for the new one.

There is that angle to be concerned over.

I have no dog in either product, just an observation.

It's funny this thread came back, I just finished re-adjusting a Timney that I moved over from a short action and had a couple issues with...
On the short action, the firing pin spring was considerably lighter then the long action I put it in. I had this trigger adjusted down quite light, didn't touch the sear engagement as it came from the factory, still had the red glue on it, was definitely less then 1/8" engagement, probably closer to 1/16"-1/32".
In the long action, the heavier firing pin spring was causing the sear to slip occasionally (very randomly) when closing the bolt regardless of trigger spring tension. I adjusted it to approx 1/8" and re-worked the pull and over travel, now it's safe (primary concern), light enough for me but not as hairy as it was in the short action. Good learning experience for me too, and yes, the familiarity and predictable pull helps a lot.

Bullseye London also a site sponsor has Triggertech in stock if anyone is looking, another great place to deal with.
