who is shooting one of these in the 338 LM? hardly any specs on the rem site, cant even find a pic of it. wondering what the twist is and if it will shoot 300s? just lookin for a bit of a review i guess, tryed the search engine but got nothing

That is strange. Remington only shows the XCR LRT in .223, .308 and .300WM, yet a number of retailers still carry what is listed as 700 XCR II Tactical Long Range. Wonder if it has been discontinued.

Lebaron has them listed with a fairly good description and picture. Wolverine lists them as well.

Yes, there is not much info out there on these, but I do have one and there are a few around right now. It has an OD HS precision stock of the 700P profile vs. the standard XCR with the thumb hook. It has the tri-fluted barrel and OPS brake. The brake works ok, however is a crush washer install, and the washer moves....I will get a better brake installed later. Mine doesn't feed well, however some mag tuning should fix that. The bottom metal/mag is quite loose, so if you're used to Badger, ATRS, Surgeon BM, it will seem that much worse. Fit and Finish is nice....Once it gets a few tweaks it should rock.

It's not discontinued, it should love the 300gr cause of the faster twist. My friend is working out a load for that same rifle using Berger 300gr omt. He is stuck doing it behinds the wife's back though, she don't kno about this gun lol
