Rem 700P in 7mm

Anybody have any experience with the Remington 700 Police in 7mm mag? I think they only offered them in 7mm for a year. I have yet to come accross one up here as well!

Looking for your experience with them (how they shot, etc), good and bad points. Thanks.

I had one - selling it was the hardest decision I have ever made! The .338 Lapua AI allure sucked me in, and I could not afford both so... The ATRS break I put on it pretty much eliminated all recoil; vibration was a more appropriate term than recoil. I can honestly say it was the most accurate factory rifle I have ever owned (after bedding - never fired before).

Never had one in 7 Mag, but I've had 3 in other calibers. Good guns, quite accurate. - dan

Since - other than stocks, the external barrel dimensions and the finish - all Remington 700's are the same, They will be as good or bad on average as any other Remington 700.

The guts from the 700P is 100% Remington 700.
