Just a quick question about the Rem 700 sps stainless, for any who have handled one. What is the finish like? I remeber on my old sps (non stainless model) the finish had a rough sort of texture, that I didnt care for. I would like to know if the stainless model is the same or not. If anyone could describe it to my I would appreciate it. Local gun shop doesnt stock remington.

my blued and stainless SPS rems ...which i dont own anymore.../ both had pretty much the same texture...... Could almost file your fingernails kinda texture.

x2 on that one..Almost like it was pitted all over...a rough type of bead/sand blasting kinda look..got rid of mine, then bought a rem 700 BDL stainless..much much better quality..very smooth surface on the barrel and receiver..
