Really wish this rifle could talk!
Looking for someone who might know the original owner of this beauty who signed himself - "Lloyd D...." This name is scratched under the butt plate and into the trigger plate metal.
It's a REM 722 chambered in 257 Roberts with a customized SCHNABEL fore end on the stock, a bedded action and tweaked trigger. The rifle was manufactured back in 1953. It's a shooter.
I won it at auction, thinking I paid TOO much. In retrospect, I gambled and won. It came through Switzers.
If anyone should know about Lloyd and the history of this rifle I'd be grateful for any info on the original owner and the exploits of the gun.
Happy to receive PMs.
