They were selling Norc 556 ammo in 20 packs for $6.50 a year ago but sold all out.

My friend and his brother ordered two rifles from them yesterday, something wrong with the second order (a checkmark missing) and the guy never got a shipping details message.

A gentleman from the store called him this aft, told him that they were sold-out but still honoured the deal. Now that's good CS straightforward and personal, YMMV with feedbacks, sometimes.

Hmm. Do standard Rem 700 barrels fit? All I need is to buy a bolt head for a Magnum and I could use my Rem 700 264 Win Mag barrel.

Threaded the same as a small shank Savage 1.055" x 20tpi.
PTG has mag bolt heads, and they are very easy to swap out. Might be able to get one from Remington?
 
I use the Remington made Talley type ring/bases, work good with these rifles. Also have an EGW base on another one.
 
Mine in 30-06 arrived yesterday. Quick shipping and well packed - thumbs up to Coastal Outdoors.

My only regret is not getting one in 300 Win Mag as well. I will be as patient as Smeagol/Gollum watching for another deal like this.
