Hey fellows - yes I searched but was hoping for further info. I have a stock 870 synthetic that I want to upgrade. My wife would like use it so I was thinking an adjustable stock with recoil reducing spring would kill 2 birds with one stone. Can you recommend which brand? Don't want cheap that will break on me after a few range trips. Also, where do you buy 870 stuff in canada? I saw that Fabsports had a Knoxx (sp?) stock but it was for a mossberg. Please educate me!

If you're looking for anything Mesa, check out GP tactical. Wolverine is a good place as well.

I know there is another place.. Oh yeah Tactical Ordinance I think, a guy named Casey has alot of Mesa stuff.

The Mesa M4 stock is probably the most expensive one you can get for roughly $180 +tax but its very nice looking and durable.

If you do want the recoil reducing (Enidine buffer) version, the price doubles though.

Im not sure about the Knoxx stuff, but I know that with the Mesa adaptor, you can add any other furnature you want, like Magpul or Tango Down.

If I were going to change the stock on my Grizzly, I get the Adaptor and buy a buffer and castle nut from Brownells, then purchase a Magpul OD Green MOE stock and a cheap $20 OD green pistol grip and wrap it in something from Hogue.

The Hogue grip that the Mesa package comes with is nice, but I think OD green on black looks better than plain black, and it all comes out to about the same as the package.

There are lots of adjustable pistol grip stocks to choose from. There are recoil reducing ones and ones that do not offer any recoil reduction of various qualities and corresponding prices.
The Knoxx recoil reducing stock is good and is a reasonable price. It does have a strange sliding recoil reduction system.
The best of the bunch in my opinion is the Mesa Recoil Reducing Telescoping Stock that comes with the Enidine buffer. It is very pricey but you get what you pay for.
