Rem 870 barrel exchange

Hey, gang,

I currently have a Remington 870 Tactical. The barrel is 18.5", full cylinder bore. I bought it for zombie defense . I wanted to purchase another shotgun to use for trap and possibly hunting in the future.. but was thinking, maybe I should just buy a barrel.

Does anyone have a price range for what barrels cost, know best (most inexpensive) places to get some, and/or have any pros & cons about this idea?

Keep an eye on the EE. There are almost always barrels for sale.

If you bought an 870 Tactical, and it doesn't have a threaded barrel, you got ripped off!

That being said, a decent 28" barrel should run less than $200 in the EE. There are deals - you just gotta know your prices and be quick!
