Hello !

I am looking for the pump action Shotgun and pretty much narrowed my search to 3:

Remington 870 - 409$
Browning BPS - not sure but I guess ~ 579$
Benelli Nova - 529$

I will be using it for hunting duck, geese, deer and turkey. Also will be bringing gun to the range. I basically need all-in-one pump solution.

Now, does Benelli worth extra 100+$ over Remington ?

I also just came across Benelli SuperNova for extra 50$ over Benelli Nova - should I go with it or just stick with Nova ?

As you can see I am leaning towards Benelli because of shell stop button :)

Thanks for your input.
Igor.

24,for flexibility, action shooting sports, hunting, range use. why benelli, this is my experience, the most reliable and smoothest action, like I said its just my novice experience. although there is no such thing as all in one, you have to compromise somewhere....

I would suggest the Super Nova which has an adjustable stock ( cast also) has 3.5" capability with a good recoil pad as standard. Light gun and probably the best overall pump. Can use Nova bbls also interchangeably. I had a Nova in Realtree - didn't fit as it has no stock adjustment. Still have a Nova practical (which fits because of the height of the ghost ring sight) with the recoil reducer mercury tube. Also have a Super Nova and a SuperSport. I've said previously on another thread that if I could own only one firearm, it would be the SuperNova.

Cheers, Mule

Duck, geese, deer & turkey? Make sure you pick a gun with interchangable choke tubes and you'll be set.

Really, any of those will be a great gun. They are all top notch guns with great reputations for reliability. Try to get a chance to handle each one and pick the one that feels "right" to you. Don't worry too much about which ones we like. Pick the one you like best!

But, like I said, you can't really go wrong with any one of those guns.

Which one is better? I don't know. I think all of them is equally good - they go bang when you pull the trigger.

Which one is the most beautiful? No question, no debate, no doubt - the SuperNova. :)

Most folks I know haven't had near the number of quality issues with any of the Benelli products vs the current production of Rem shotguns. There is a reason the Benelli's are more expensive, they're better made. I have always shot Browning BPS's well and they seem to function with little or no quality issues.
If you plan on doing any amount of slug shooting or waterfowling with 3 1/2 inch ammo I would get the Super Nova. FS

The Benelli's are great shotguns and are superior quality to most of the other manufacturers.

I'd go for the SuperNova, and if you're going to do more waterfowl hunting than deer or turkey, I'd go with a longer barrell. More turkeys or deer, buy what you like. Competitive / action shooting like 3 gun, shorter barrell, trap, longer barrell. :bangHead: It's tough to buy just one, that's why I own 4.

Congrats, about how much did it end up costing you? You buy any shells with it also and if so what kind? Best of luck with it!
