Rem 870.. Does this look odd to you?

It looks like of weird with out the top rail on it. And is it just me or does that AR pistol grip look like the beaver tail is two big for that adapter? It seems to be pushing the back of the grip off. Possibly just needs a grip with no beaver tail.

You think you could hit a gong at 300 yards with a smoothbore barrel?

hickok 45 can hit out to 230 yards with a rifle sighted smooth-bore . it is possible but the drop would be 100 inches if the gun was zeroed at 100 yards. a 1400 ft. per sec. slug is still traveling at 770 ft. p. s. at the 300 yard mark according to charts that i googled .

Why not?
I have shot many minute of rock in the gravel pit with an Auto 5 and my 1100 20 gauge.(100 yrd lobs)
Just have to figure out the angle of the muzzle for lobbing them in there.
But, back to your question, if it looks good to you and the deal is comfortable to you why worry about what the masses have to say?
Just tossing it out there.

Im looking to trade one of my guns and I got an offer for this Remington 870..
I would like to trade, but the receiver on this gun looks like it's overlapping into the pistol grip stock.
Do they make stocks like this for 870s? Or does this look weird to you??

It's a high stock adapter, which is supposed to give the shotgun more of an AR set-up. If you check out the MESA Tactical website, you will see the different stock adapters they offer...this set-up, although not a MESA, is one of the options they offer. MESA calls theirs the "High-tube telescopic stock adapter".
