The Marine Magnum is a nice looking shotgun if you like Bling... Otherwise, cleaning and oiling is all that is needed. I never owned one and never used one, all the tacticool toys I was ever issued with were standard steel military ones; and we never had any problems with them. As a duck hunter, the vast majority of guns I saw in boats were standard steel types.
My past employer purchased a total of ten MM's, over three years, and eight of them needed a kindly butt-stroke to extract spent shells. Hard on the quadricep at the end of a long day at the range, and a bit of an unfair advantage to give Yogi if you ever need a second shot. Dave Henry Gunmaker fixed 'em up fine.
