Rem 870 Police 14 inch

Anyone know if these have choke tubes? It would make a cool Turkey gun.

No, these barrels are not threaded for choke tubes. My understanding is that there is enough meat there to have them threaded though if that's something you would want to have a smith do for you.

and...

Crickets.

One would think that it wouldn't be too much to ask that Nordic at least honour us with a reply of some sort?

I agree. The way they have handled this has lowered my opinion of them personally. If I wanted the one with the decade discontinued stock & rifle sights(I don't) I would buy it from Marstar out of principle as they answer emails and the threads they start at least.

Too bad they are only getting the ugly one with the ancient Blackhawk stock and rifle sights.

I actually bought one of those stocks way back when Knoxx first brought them out (before Knoxx was bought by Blackhawk) and quickly returned it, realizing it was a bad decision. :d But keep in mind back then, there weren't a lot of affordable ways to get a AR-style collapsable stock onto an 870.

I also bought one when they first came out, about a decade ago, and still have it today. It is for sale right now with my 870 Marine Magnum actually. That's part of the reason why I don't want the version that comes with it. Plus, tall rifle sights don't make much sense on a 14" imo and I would much prefer the XS low pros or even a bead.

Hellooooo.....Brad? Are you there???? Can we get an update? You've had my money for a month now... and other dealers are now posting the imminent arrival of the Low-Profile/Fixed-Stock version which I prefer over the older, Rifle Sight/Knoxx Stock version that I ordered. I can live with the Rife Sights, but can we at least get an ETA update? We have been asking for over a week, with crickets from your end. Even if it is "situation no change", please have the courtesy to at least say SOMETHING!

I was probably third or fourth on the list originally but backed out when the deal was buy it upfront and wait. I bought an SAS upper from Nordic and it went smooth but with the covid crap going on I didn’t want to tie up $850 for an unknown time. I sent ArmsEast $3000 for an ACR a few years back and I think they held my money for 8 months until the rifle finally arrived. It was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. When I asked for a refund they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee. I prefer the item be in stock when I pay for it.
Hopefully these will arrive soon. If there are any leftovers I will probably buy one.

It does seem out of character for them. Up until this, I had always thought of them as one of the better dealers when it came to communications, but it's been 26 days since they have posted here. Looking at their post history, other than announcing their Easter sale on April 11th, they haven't posted anything since April 2nd. Maybe they're down a man or two?

Wowza,

Sorry guys for not chiming in sooner. Its been a bit of a wild week here in Nova Scotia.
Crazy to say the least.

The following 870 POLICE SKU's should arrive here tomorrow morning, they have been shipped.

#24583
#24453
#25015
#24449
#24901

For those that pre-ordered, they will ship back out tomorrow as well.

Brad, are all SKUs with 14" Barrels spoken for? I am just curious if available numbers have changed, allowing a switch to a gun with the low-profile Rifle sights (either tritium or not)? I really don't care what Buttstock it comes with, because mine will be replaced by a Mesa Tac Adapter and a Kynshot Hydraulic Buffer system, so even a conventionall fixed-stock would be fine...

Any flexibility to change from the SKU 24583 with High-Profile Rifle Sights to SKU 24453 with the Low-Profile Rifle Sights? Inquiring minds would really like to know....

Regards,

Mark C
