Rem 870 safety detent ball - size?

I may or may not have lost my safety detent ball when playing with my new 870

Apparently the replacement part retails for $4.60, which is laughable. Since it's just a ball bearing, I'm pretty sure I can find one that will fit. A box of 10 may be a good idea since it's so damn small.

Does anyone know what size I should be looking for? Judging by the hole I would guess 1/16"...

Dont need it really, just torque it good and tight with a long heavy duty screwdriver

Just to be sure, was it a ball or a plunger? I think the newer "lockable" safties have a plunger.

No it's the older safety (not the "J"). It's just a very small ball bearing.

9/64" is the correct size.
