This reminds me of the simpsons episode where homer starts a chiropractic clinic using the mangled up trash can he fell over that cured his back problem. Barrel bending business has been born!
 
Was anyone barking orders at you while you were doing your custom bending work? Anyhow, glad you figured out the proper treetment. I was very intreeged with the outcome.
 
Actually, on doublegunshop forum there is a discussion right now on bending barrels to point of aim. Yes, some use some type of fancy press if available. However, you will be surprised how many today are using the crotch of a tree or by just smacking the barrels against a bag of shot until bent enough. Sounds crude, I know, but it is done fairly frequently today. So before you spend big money having a gunsmith bend your barrel, maybe you should ask what method is used, lol!

As a welder by trade I can tell you 9 times out of 10 when people come to me with broken/bent equipment the repair is usually much simpler than they think. Steel has the memory of an elephant and if you impart the equal/opposite force as was applied to damage/bend at first it'll go back to new
