So I just have to post about the "new to me" 870 super magnum that I purchased. I wanted a pump action that could be my backup bird gun as well as my slug gun for deer season. I happened upon a used 870 with slug barrel and 26" barrel for a good price. Had a shureshot thumbhole stock and laminate stock. I bought it because it was cheap and I figured it would be a good, durable, weather warrior backup gun to my winchester SX3.
I must say that I am extremely pleased with this gun. The action is buttery smooth, the stock fits superbly, especially with the iron sighted slug barrel and after an oil finish to the laminate stock I think it is a classy looking rig for the price. I am extremely pleased with this gun.

Post up some photos.

The 870 platform, in any of it's varying levels of trim, is a simple but proven shotty.

So much so, I have evn gone off the deep end and gotten into the 7600 line of pump rifles.

Congrats on the purchase.
