rem adl to bdl stock

Chappy, I converted a ADL to take the DM floor plate, very easy. The easy way is to make up some pins and insert them into the action screw holes then slide the floor plate onto the pins, trace around the floor plate. Cut the hole a little small just incase the pins were not lined up perfect. On this one if I drilled out the solid bottom I still would need to make it a little wider and make it longer in the front, but I needed to leave about 1/8 inch at the back of the mag well. The only thing you need to look out for is the front action screw goes through a washer in the stock, this washer is .375 thick and if you just knock it out it will chip the wood. You need to remove the wood from this washer back to the magwell anyway so do that first and then tap the washer back then out. The stock I used was an early one and to make the mag fit the action right I had to set the floor plate deep into the stock. Easy job, good luck with it.
