rem barrel thread.

are all rems like 700, 788 model seven barrels interchangable? could i switch barrels on a model seven and a 788?

788's are the odd duck in Rem bolt action barrel threads. 700,722,721,725,78,Seven,600,660,673,XR-100 and XP-100 all have the same barrel tenon and threads.
what kind of barrels are you considering swapping?

i was wanting to put the ss 308 barrel from 788 onto a mod 7 reciever. guess its a no go.
