Rem bbl on Norinco 14"?

I understand the 14" Norinco shotguns will take an 870 factory barrel. I just want to confirm this and hear from anyone who has done it.

I was playing around when I got mine, and the HP9-1 fit my 870MM barrel just fine.

I've go a 26" Rem barrel on mine, use it for trap and birds...

I used a 26", 20", and 18" Remington barrels on my HP-9 before I sold it. It ran fine with all of them.

My experience has been different. I have an HP9 14" that I tried to put a factory Remington 14" barrel on, and it wouldn't fit. It fits my 870 no problem, but not the Norc.

Maybe later I'll try a couple of different Remington barrels on it and see if they work.

Aren't the rem factory 14's different that the longer ones in mounting?

I think it is the Special Field models that differed in their mounting. They won't work on the other 870s but standard 870 barrels will interchange between the Express, Wingmaster and HP9s.

Special Field barrels will definately NOT fit any other 870 or clone receiver without shortening the mag tube.

No, they're identical. The issue with mine is the the chamber area wouldn't fit inside the receiver, just a touch too large.

Special Fields only have 3 rd mag tube, as opposed to the regular 4 rd (+1 in chamber.) found on Remington's

You have to ensure that the Norc doesn't have the longer 5+1 mag tube, no Remingtons will interchange with these without relocating/modifying the barrel lug. Most of the longer barrel Norcs have this configuration (18, 24").
