Rem BDL recoil pad help?

I have a BDL stock and the but measures 5 1\8 inches and is curved. I need help finding a recoil pad or butt plate to fit.

Pretty sure you can buy a remington pad made to fit,a limbsaver etc.WSS or Cabelas likely list the specific ones for the BDL.By curve, do you you mean that the stock is cut concave?

Yes concave cut. I haven't seen a pad big enough.

I don't know if there is a ready made pad that is the right size and will fit a concave butt. I ended up buying a pad that had to be ground down to fit and cutting the stock off straight on my Rem. 760 pump in 30-06. NOT A FUN JOB! If you are not real good with power and hand tools, I wouldn't recommend it. The result certainly made the gun much more pleasant to shoot, but very tedious and nerve-wracking process. If you can't find a ready-to-fit pad, price out the job at a gunsmith's.

They used to sell pre fit Limbsaver pads for that exact stock, don't know if they still do. Google them or have a look in the Brownells catalog. - dan
